Annotated Bibliography
During this assignment I was given the opportunity to critically think about higher education. In an Annotated Bibliography setting I was able to research what others were saying about the topic. I summarized their writing, rhetorically analyzed their position and wrote my own reflection for each source. | Position Synthesis
In this position synthesis I organized the converstaion that is going on about Higher Education. Answering the question, "Is Higher Education for Everyone?" This assignment facilitated a lot of critical thinking about why some people choose to pursue higher education and why others do not. |
This course facilitated for critical thinking and analysis. The writing processes that I engaged in throughout the course of English 1010 have strengthened my overall writing skills. Some examples of these skills are demonstrated in my two sample papers above. I learned how to more effectively indicate who is writing in the "They Say" and "I Say." I am now able to more effectively summarize, analyze writings and the synthesis of sources.
